Bhaktivedanta Vidyabhavan

Inspired by the vision of Swami Prabhupada, a group of devotees came forward to beg land from Tribal of Forest based ancient village of Kutam (10 km inside the woods in Silli Tribal belt, Ranchi). The Area was protected from Elephants & Tigers owing to expansive Sand bed of Svarnrekha river. It was superstitiously believed that witches used to kill people and villagers used to migrate from one side of river to the other.”

Introduction

Bhaktivedanta Vidyabhavan Gurukul

The idea of Vedic Gurukulam was first conceived by His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada (an Indian spiritual teacher and the founder of the InternationalSociety for Krishna Consciousness, commonly known as the “Hare Krishna Movement”). He said, “The old system of Gurukulam should be revived as the perfect example of a system designed to produce greatmen, sober and responsible leaders, who know what is the real welfare of the citizens.”

Our Mission

To shape Bhaktivedanta Gurukulam (BVG) from scratch, His Grace Das Gadadhar Prabhu had to struggle very hard. Soon after sometime, many devotees from all over India appreciated them wholeheartedly for their back-breaking efforts and affectionately joined hand to support this great cause.

Gurukulam

In the heart of this diverse and culturally rich nation lies a profound vision – a vision to transform the landscape of education. We embark on a journey to open 16,108 Gurukuls, a mission that seeks to redefine education in India.

Cow Care

Just as a child feeds on the breast milk of the mother, human society takes milk from the cow. The bull is also considered the father of human society because just as the father earns to feed the children, the bull tills the earth to produce food grains. So, to kill cows means to end the human civilization.

Temples

These temples are significant because they provide a place for devotees to worship and seek the blessings of Lord Krishna. Devotees believe that by visiting these temples, they can attain spiritual enlightenment and peace.

Agriculture

In the heart of rural India, where the soil whispers tales of generations and the land yields life’s sustenance, there lies an ancient tradition that celebrates the harmony between knowledge and cultivation. Gurukul Agricultural Education is not just a system; it’s a way of life that seeks to empower the guardians of the land with wisdom and skills.
